篇一:a little story 一个小故事

When I was at primary school, maybe at 10-year-old, my mother took me to climb a mountain one Saturday. When we were walking, we felt tired and then we sat down on a stone chair. We had a nice chat with each other. Then, I found a little ant which was climbing hardly from the foot of the chair. It must want to eat the food on the chair, I thought. But I found that no matter how hard the ant tried to climb, it could not arrive at its destination. Then my mother told me:” My sweetie, you should learn something from this little ant, it work so hard, but it still hadn’t achieve its goal. Do you know why? Maybe the goal itself is too difficult for him to achieve. So when you have tried your best to do something, but you failed, just forget it and never waste your time and energy on it.” “But is that means that I can do nothing because it is difficult?” I asked. “No, because you never know whether you can do something if you even do not try. Lazy is just a seem-to-be-perfect excuse for people. And I believe that my little daughter will never make so many excuses, Right?” I answered:“Yes, mom, I won’t. I won’t make so many excuses like other people.” From then on, I believed that my mother is the smartest woman in the world and I will try my best to achieve my goal without some requirements, like “I must achieve it”. Because I know that I can choose to be hard-working, but I can’t control the result in some way. -
